While at T-System, he conceived the vision, described the path, defined the branding, and led the implementation of two new T SystemEV product lines, T-Data and T-Reporting. Dr. Brown served on the EDIS Functional Profile Workgroup which defined standards used by CCHIT for certification of health Information technology products. He was also the first elected Chairman of the Section of Computers of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Brown has over 12 years of full-time clinical emergency experience, the last eight of those years at a Level I Trauma Center. He was a founding partner of Emergency Physicians of Community Hospital of Anderson, IN. While in Indiana, he served as the State Medical Director for Ask-A-Nurse. He is also a past president of Metro Emergency Physicians which provides emergency physician
coverage for four emergency departments of Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, MO.
Dr. Brown received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University with a double major in chemistry and computer science and was awarded Honors in Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Methodist Hospital of Indiana where he served as Chief Resident, LIFE LINE flight physician, Indianapolis 500 track physician, and NFL Colts field physician. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) and is a lifetime fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
